Responsibilities
- Write code that satisfies user-story acceptance criteria and validate it with unit and integration tests.
- Help write user stories and acceptance criteria reflecting business needs.
- Debug code and analyze data, queries, and application behavior to diagnose defects and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, designers, and system owners throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and use static analysis tooling to maintain clean, secure, and maintainable code.
- Use AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency and review generated code for correctness, security, and performance.
- Help modernize applications using a cloud-native approach on AWS, feature flags, and observability tooling.
- Present project results to the team at the end of the program.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a rising junior or senior pursuing computer science, software development, or a related degree.
- Coursework or project experience with at least one programming language, such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Exposure to relational databases and SQL through coursework or a personal project.
- Experience using AI tools to support coding or learning, with the judgment to verify their output.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and willingness to participate in feedback and code reviews.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing tasks.
- Curiosity about large, long-lived software systems and comfort working in code written by others.
