Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data acquisition systems sourcing information from social media and other unstructured online sources.
- Produce timely structured data for internal modeling and trading systems.
- Implement and maintain relational database schemas and API integrations.
- Enhance and refactor systems for scale, performance, and low-latency processing.
- Monitor and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with football analysts to ensure data utility and accuracy.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring, with experience in Python and working knowledge of R.
- Familiarity with Postgres or other traditional relational database management systems.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Docker containerization.
- Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs for real-time applications.
- Experience designing and delivering analytics pipelines that use LLMs to convert unstructured data into structured data.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and OpenAI or other frontier model APIs.
- Proficiency with Git and modern deployment practices.
