Responsibilities
- Define the technical direction and priorities of the platform team.
- Lead system design and code reviews and mentor junior and middle-level engineers.
- Coordinate with neighboring teams.
- Build and maintain backend, data, frontend, full-stack, or measurement-agent components.
- Own services end to end from API through production.
- Implement device authentication, cloud certificate and token management, identity and provisioning, mutual TLS, and secure credential storage.
- Maintain CI/CD, automated unit and integration tests, device-to-cloud test coverage, and CI quality gates.
- Review and take responsibility for tests written with AI assistance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including technical leadership or mentoring experience.
- Strong experience in one or more relevant areas: Go on AWS, including Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, and queues; PostgreSQL; Athena/Iceberg lakehouse systems; React and TypeScript; or Linux services using C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Daily use of AI coding agents for specifications, review, tests, and quality gates.
- End-to-end ownership mindset.
- Motivation to learn wired and wireless network domains and apply them to customer troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of networking technologies is valued.
