Responsibilities
- Conduct cluster analysis of autonomous-vehicle driving behaviors.
- Build tools and automated pipelines to improve Waymo's in-field response to undesirable events.
- Experiment with methods to improve the precision of signals detecting undesirable behaviors.
- Develop signals to quantify Waymo's driving performance.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a master's or PhD in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Python or C++.
- Have basic data-analysis proficiency using SQL or Python.
- Demonstrate data fluency.
- Preferred: experience training and evaluating machine learning models.
- Preferred: experience prototyping agentic systems.
- Preferred: experience with C++ and large-scale distributed systems.
