Base Salary
$145k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the mobile architecture strategy across projects
- Focus on iOS architecture, libraries, and platform-specific patterns while maintaining an understanding of Android frameworks
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to align architecture with product goals and user experience
- Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and performance guidelines
- Lead architectural reviews and guide refactoring and scaling of existing mobile applications
- Design reusable APIs, SDKs, and modular components
- Guide decisions regarding third-party libraries, mobile tooling, and build and deployment pipelines
- Partner with backend and cloud teams to integrate mobile apps with services
- Stay current with mobile architecture, performance, and security practices
- Mentor mobile engineers and raise the team’s technical proficiency
Requirements
- Around 6+ years of mobile development experience with a strong architectural mindset
- Deep iOS development expertise using Swift; Objective-C knowledge is a plus
- Strong understanding of UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, and modern iOS frameworks
- Experience with performance optimization, modularization, and offline-first strategies
- Familiarity with Android development using Kotlin or Java is a strong plus
- Experience integrating APIs and handling mobile data storage, caching, and background tasks
- Knowledge of App Store submission, mobile security, and compliance guidelines
- Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment automation
- Strong communication skills for explaining architectural concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Passion for clean code, design patterns such as MVVM and VIPER, and scalable architecture
