Responsibilities
- Run customer discovery and process-mapping workshops covering systems, handoffs, exceptions, and approvals.
- Translate customer workflows into pilot scopes with clear definitions of done and measurable business outcomes.
- Build and demo pilots using customers’ workflows, data shapes, approval rules, and write-back targets.
- Own technical evaluations including security reviews, integration sizing, RFPs, architecture questions, and IT objections.
- Guide customers through early platform testing, workflow capture, and issue resolution.
- Remain involved through pilot delivery and hand off signed pilots cleanly to Forward Deployed Engineering.
- Create reusable demo assets, runbooks, and discovery patterns for the pre-sales team.
- Shape the regional pre-sales function and playbook as its first hire in the region.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, applied AI, enterprise automation, or forward-deployed work serving enterprise operations, IT, or finance buyers.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI systems, including LLMs, agentic workflows, tool use, evaluation, and practical limitations.
- Strong process-discovery and systems-thinking abilities for understanding unfamiliar operations and identifying leverage points.
- Comfort with APIs, JSON, webhooks, SQL, and light Python or JavaScript for investigation and prototyping.
- Strong commercial judgment, including qualifying use cases, sizing value, recognizing buying signals, and escalating appropriately.
- Excellent communication skills across operators, architects, and executives, including the ability to explain complex systems clearly.
- Track record of discovery-led demos rather than lengthy product monologues.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel to customer sites.
- Retail or consumer-goods experience is preferred.
