Responsibilities

  • Lead execution and continuous improvement of information-risk and control strategies for Data and AI/ML services in public cloud.
  • Conduct and oversee risk-based assessments of technology controls for cloud services, platforms, and architectures.
  • Advise business technology teams on firm control requirements and cloud security best practices.
  • Review infrastructure-as-code for cloud platform development and provide feedback to ensure alignment with security standards.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation and contribute to processes supporting security initiatives.
  • Collaborate with security operations, threat intelligence, IAM, and network security teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with cloud security concepts and best practices, including IAM, encryption, network security, and logging.
  • Hands-on experience securing GCP environments.
  • Demonstrable interest and experience in Data Analytics, AI/ML, Generative AI, and LLMs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, or Associate Cloud Engineer.
  • Preferred: Hands-on cloud engineering, architecture, and infrastructure-as-code experience, including Terraform.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
  • Preferred: Experience mentoring or training junior staff.
