Responsibilities
- Contribute to rewriting the robotics application software onto a new platform.
- Optimize, expand, and maintain the embedded software landscape.
- Develop software in C/C++ or Rust.
- Apply robotics experience to new architectures with a focus on Model-Based Design.
- Analyze, test, and debug software for reliability and performance.
- Train and support end users, primarily in Belgium, with occasional travel abroad.
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation for the team and future development.
- Collaborate with a team of seven colleagues and electrical and mechanical R&D engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering or software engineering.
- Strong experience in C/C++; willingness to grow into Rust is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with ROS2.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink is preferred.
- Curiosity, an R&D mindset, initiative, resilience, and a results-driven approach.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Good command of Dutch and English.
