Base Salary

$141k - $226k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop embedded applications and network configurations for current and future public safety products.
  • Lead architecture, design, and code reviews while setting a high technical bar for the team.
  • Build software focused on quality, stability, low latency, and mission-critical reliability.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Engineering teams to create integrated customer solutions.
  • Identify and integrate open-source technologies to meet product requirements.
  • Improve software engineering processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups.
  • Mentor junior software engineers and help raise the team’s technical capabilities.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain supporting systems and libraries that interface with cloud and firmware services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in C/C++, Go, Python, and/or another systems programming language.
  • Experience with embedded development.
  • 5+ years of experience writing unit, integration, and/or system-level tests.
  • 2+ years of mentoring junior team members and/or leading small teams.
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, object-oriented design, and code quality verification.
  • Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and tunneling is a plus.
