Base Salary
$133k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop infrastructure and algorithms to capture, manage, enhance, and interpret metadata and lineage for AI pipelines.
- Enable reproducibility, reuse, optimization, search, discovery, selection, and usage of high-quality data across AI applications.
- Develop, evaluate, and test foundation AI models for natural language processing, large language models, time series analysis, and computer vision.
- Augment AI models with structured knowledge through data and knowledge context retrieval, filtering, prioritization, advanced reasoning, reasoning-trace capture, and validation.
- Develop Agentic OS infrastructure for consistent context, reasoning, governance-policy, and guardrail management across agentic harnesses.
- Conduct applied research and contribute technical work to open source while partnering with internal software development teams and external partners.
- Research and optimize data and workflow management systems, AI-HPC workflows, software performance, scalability, and distributed or parallel systems where applicable.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science or a related field focused on data engineering and data science, particularly machine learning, deep learning, and/or data management for AI.
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Research experience in generative AI, deep learning, and machine learning.
- Experience with advanced AI model architectures such as LLMs, time series foundation models, and diffusion models.
- Experience developing end-to-end AI and machine learning pipelines, particularly the underlying data layer.
- Experience with AI model development lifecycles, ML/deep learning frameworks, and MLOps platforms.
- Experience with agentic AI platforms such as LangGraph, CrewAI, ADK, AutoGen, LlamaIndex, OpenCode, Cloud Code, and Academy.
- Strong Python programming skills and high proficiency in data structures and algorithms.
- Experience using coding agents and copilots for accelerated code development.
- Experience with containerized development and orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of knowledge graphs and knowledge-infused learning is a plus.
- Research experience with data and workflow management systems is a plus.
- Experience with hybrid AI-HPC workflows, system software performance and scalability optimization, and multithreaded, parallel, object-oriented, or distributed programming is a plus.
