Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based manufacturing applications, engineering tools, and automation.
- Develop and improve MES production workflows and system integrations.
- Automate data collection from spectrometers, test equipment, and production systems.
- Process, analyze, and visualize manufacturing and instrument data for troubleshooting, quality improvement, and process optimization.
- Integrate manufacturing applications with databases, servers, equipment, and communication interfaces.
- Convert inefficient manual processes into automated digital workflows.
- Troubleshoot software, data, communication, and integration issues affecting production.
- Support new product introduction, product transfers, engineering changes, and new manufacturing technologies.
- Collaborate with Operations Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, IT, and global teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow software quality and version-control practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Good knowledge of Python and software development fundamentals.
- Understanding of databases, servers, networks, APIs, and system integration.
- Experience collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing technical data.
- Ability to work with data and communication interfaces from instruments, production equipment, or other technical systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Experience with MES or other manufacturing software systems is preferred.
- Experience with SQL, Git, APIs, or similar development technologies is preferred.
- Experience automating or digitalizing manufacturing or engineering processes is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, laboratory, instrumentation, or industrial automation environments is preferred.
