Responsibilities
- Continuously improve data products through effective engineering solutions.
- Design and implement reliable, scalable data pipelines and data platforms on AWS using Snowflake and dbt Cloud.
- Build pipelines across data warehouses, databases, data lakes, and cloud lakehouses to support predictions, models, reporting, and visualization.
- Integrate diverse internal and external data sources into group data assets.
- Promote sustainable, reusable data assets, coding standards, automation, comprehensive test coverage, and high-quality engineering practices.
- Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, delivery stakeholders, and distributed teams to deliver data-centric solutions within committed timeframes.
- Identify and escalate technical debt and proactively manage current and future risks.
- Mentor team members and contribute to thought leadership and high-performing team development.
Requirements
- 11+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering in Information Technology.
- AWS Data Engineer certification.
- Hands-on development experience with Snowflake, dbt Cloud, AWS, SQL, ETL, and data warehousing.
- Strong SQL expertise and experience with a prominent relational database.
- Experience with AWS cloud services; EMR, EC2, S3, and Auto Scaling are desirable.
- Strong capability with modern engineering practices, data delivery life cycles, and development, analysis, or testing.
- Experience working with distributed teams and Agile or continuous delivery practices is beneficial.
- Knowledge of data analysis, banking domain experience, PySpark, and GitHub Copilot are desirable.
- Experience with data delivery life cycle frameworks and Agile methodology.
