Base Salary
$184k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and participate in use case development for software requirements.
- Lead activities to develop, document, and maintain software architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for mission systems software.
- Lead development and integration of complex mission systems software components into fully functional software systems.
- Provide technical leadership for software projects and lead less experienced software engineers.
- Identify best practices and areas for improvement for program managers and customers.
- Participate in program activities from proposal and planning through delivery.
- Support identification and analysis of software quality metrics to improve quality and manage risk.
- Develop software and software tests throughout the software development life cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of experience with full-life-cycle software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, and/or Linux.
- At least 10 years of experience with version control systems such as Git, ClearCase, or Subversion.
- Ability to acquire a U.S. Secret Security Clearance after starting.
- Ability to meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person and U.S. Government citizenship requirements for clearance eligibility.
- Preferred: 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field.
- Preferred: team leadership experience and the ability to lead and guide smaller teams.
- Preferred: experience with collaborative software development, code reviews, automated DevOps processes and tools, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Candidates must complete the CodeVue technical assessment as part of the selection process.
