Responsibilities
- Design and own explicit, testable data contracts and processing semantics for identity, eligibility, audience attributes, deduplication, and field persistence.
- Build end-to-end observability, reconciliation, safe replay, repair, and data-freshness capabilities across the data lifecycle.
- Lead technical discovery and delivery for Member Marketing and Coverage Eligibility initiatives with Product, data, Growth, and external partners.
- Translate evolving business requirements into reusable platform capabilities while separating policy from technical implementation.
- Design correct, auditable, secure, and resilient workflows involving data provenance, consent, suppression, rollback, replay, and cross-customer safeguards.
- Modernize legacy file-based processes into contracted API- and event-driven integrations where appropriate.
- Own systems from architecture through operations and improve reliability, partner experience, and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and drive architectural discussions and roadmaps.
- Use AI-assisted tooling selectively for development, testing, documentation, data-quality investigation, and operations while preserving deterministic controls.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience building and operating scalable, reliable production systems involving APIs, event-driven architectures, or data integrations.
- Experience designing data-intensive systems using explicit schemas, identity or entity resolution, incremental processing, idempotency, lineage, reconciliation, and partial-failure recovery.

- Experience with B2B or partner-facing data systems such as file-based integrations, real-time data exchanges, or partner APIs.
- Ability to work autonomously through ambiguity, proactively identify problems, and drive solutions to completion.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across Product, data, engineering, and external partner teams.
- Sound judgment regarding AI-assisted tooling and deterministic controls for correctness and safety.
- Typically 10+ years of software engineering experience with the ability to operate at a senior level.
- Healthcare data experience involving eligibility, claims, EHR, member marketing, regulated workflows, or partner-integrated environments is preferred.
- Experience with Braze, Segment, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or comparable customer-data and marketing-automation platforms is preferred.
- Experience modernizing SFTP or file-based data flows to API- or event-driven architectures is preferred.
- Familiarity with data-quality frameworks, lineage tracking, automated anomaly detection, and AI/LLM-based engineering tooling is preferred.
- Experience influencing without formal authority and driving change across teams or systems is preferred.
