Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and mobile applications using TypeScript, WebdriverIO, and Appium.
- Develop automated functional, regression, smoke, API, and end-to-end test suites.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to identify automation opportunities and embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve execution speed, reporting, and reliability.
- Investigate test failures and distinguish product defects from environment issues and framework improvements.
- Contribute to test strategy, release readiness, defect triage, and continuous quality improvement.
- Participate in code reviews and promote automation best practices, coding standards, and framework enhancements.
- Support manual testing when required while increasing automation maturity across the team.
- Explore and implement AI-powered testing tools and automation solutions.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and drive automation excellence.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands-on QA Automation Engineering experience in product-based environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, WebdriverIO, and Appium.
- Strong understanding of automation framework design, object-oriented programming, and test automation best practices.
- Experience testing APIs and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong coding, logical problem-solving, and scenario-based technical challenge skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ability to work independently while mentoring junior QA engineers.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: experience with Playwright.
- Preferred: experience building automation utilities or AI-powered testing solutions.
- Preferred: exposure to fintech, trading, payments, or other high-transaction digital products.
- Preferred: experience with cloud-based device and browser testing platforms.
