Responsibilities
- Develop autonomy and intelligence for robotic systems used in endovascular and hemorrhage-control procedures.
- Build and evaluate deep learning models for anatomical understanding and robotic intervention strategies.
- Work across perception, scene understanding, planning, control, simulation, and deployment on real robotic systems.
- Define training and validation datasets, apply data augmentation, and select loss functions and evaluation metrics.
- Conduct large-scale experiments to identify actionable improvements.
- Develop high-quality software from design and implementation through testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers, roboticists, and clinicians to prototype, test, and deploy systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant industry experience, Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or PhD with 0+ years of industry experience.
- Expertise with Python.
- Experience training image-based deep neural networks, including use of PyTorch or similar deep neural network libraries.
- Experience with cloud-based data and training.
- Experience with simulators such as MuJoCo or Isaac.
- Experience developing high-quality software through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Preferred experience with robotics software such as ROS2, motion-planning algorithms, mathematical transforms, medical imaging data including X-rays, CTs, and MRIs, and sim-to-real development.
- Willingness to learn, iterate quickly, and collaborate.
