Responsibilities
- Own business problems from initial user conversations through production and ongoing improvement.
- Build backend services for pricing, inventory, orders, and supplier, customer, and logistics integrations.
- Build AI agents and supporting tools and APIs with validation, idempotency, audit trails, and human review.
- Create interfaces for commercial teams to review, correct, and approve agent decisions.
- Transform supplier price lists, datasheets, and stock feeds into trustworthy structured data.
- Evaluate and monitor LLM-driven workflows in production.
- Lead technical decisions, document trade-offs, mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and participate in hiring.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building and running production software with real users.
- Strong backend experience at production scale in Java or a comparable language such as Kotlin, C#, or Go, with willingness to work in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing distributed, event-driven systems with attention to data correctness and failure modes.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills and hands-on AWS experience.
- Ability to deliver full-stack features using TypeScript and React, without requiring frontend-specialist depth.
- Product sense, user-facing problem discovery, and ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear plans.
- Experience working in a fast-growing company and solving business problems, not only technical problems.
- Experience with LLMs or agent frameworks is a strong plus; experience in trading, marketplaces, supply chain, fintech, or similar domains is a bonus.
- Ability to mentor others, raise engineering standards, and exercise sound engineering judgment.
