Responsibilities
- Build and enhance Android mobile applications for Marcus.
- Develop user interfaces with Jetpack Compose following Material Design and Android UI guidelines.
- Implement Android architecture using patterns such as MVI, MVVM, MVP, and Clean Architecture.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, JSON, and third-party libraries with backend systems.
- Implement data persistence, asynchronous programming, threading, concurrency, and memory-management solutions.
- Write comprehensive unit and UI tests and support CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployment.
- Own significant features, manage tasks independently, and contribute to architectural discussions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
Requirements
- Approximately 3–6 years of Android development experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Kotlin and extensive experience with the Android SDK and modern Android Jetpack libraries.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose, Material Design, Android UI guidelines, and common Android architectural patterns.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, Retrofit, and backend-service integration.
- Knowledge of SQLite, SharedPreferences, concurrency, asynchronous programming, threading, memory management, and performance tuning.
- Experience writing unit and UI tests using tools such as JUnit and Espresso.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, collaboration, ownership, and independent execution skills.
