Base Salary
$200k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build reproducible pipelines for model fine-tuning, alignment, and evaluation.
- Design modular multi-model pipelines for protein design.
- Develop scalable ETL pipelines for petabyte-scale protein pretraining data.
- Optimize model training and inference for throughput and resource utilization.
- Develop ML software and infrastructure for distributed and multi-cloud environments.
- Partner with ML and protein design scientists to bring research ideas into production.
- Build hyperparameter search, benchmarking, evaluation, data processing, and multi-node job submission systems.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and training ML models with PyTorch.
- Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals, including testing, code quality, and version control.
- Experience profiling, benchmarking, and optimizing ML training and inference.
- Experience implementing or optimizing transformer-based architectures.
- Familiarity with GCP, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Strong fundamentals in machine learning, statistics, and/or linear algebra.
- Preferred: familiarity with protein language models or computational biology, GPU optimization with CUDA or Triton, distributed training, databases, data processing pipelines, ML workflow orchestration, production ML backend systems, open-source contributions, or published research.
