Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable software solutions for satellite constellation operation and planning optimization problems.
- Build production cloud-native software systems, services, and APIs in Java using AWS and other Amazon technologies.
- Develop infrastructure that simulates and emulates software running on satellites, ground gateways, and customer terminals.
- Collaborate with peer teams and customers to design systems that fulfill mission needs.
- Define technical roadmaps and make decisions about which software services to build.
- Automate software development, implementation, testing, and maintenance processes.
- Define and refine operational processes and provide operational excellence.
- Mentor and onboard new team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
