Base Salary
$210k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, scalable platform services and solutions.
- Contribute to the technical direction of Zocdoc's internal developer platform.
- Collaborate across teams to understand developer pain points and drive platform adoption.
- Own and deliver high-impact platform investments from problem framing to rollout.
- Improve measurable developer outcomes such as build times and deployment safety.
- Champion platform-as-product thinking by refining the developer experience.
- Advance platform capabilities in AI-assisted development.
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar for technical design and code quality.
- Ensure platform patterns align with security, compliance, and reliability expectations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building or evolving internal developer platforms or CI/CD systems.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems in AWS or similar cloud environments.
- Strong judgment around platform abstractions and APIs.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into deliverable pieces.
- Clear communication of technical trade-offs and building consensus.
- Motivated by enabling other engineers to build reliable and secure systems.
