Responsibilities
- Provide system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews before services go live.
- Measure and monitor availability, latency, and overall system health for live services.
- Scale systems sustainably through automation and drive changes that improve reliability and velocity.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and system resilience.
- Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
Requirements
- Use a systematic problem-solving approach with effective communication and drive.
- Have experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting microservices.
- Understand monitoring, logging, and tracing systems, including ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger.
- Linux and network administration experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud and Kubernetes is beneficial.
- Programming experience in Go or a similar language is advantageous.
- Experience designing and managing MongoDB and MySQL databases is advantageous.
- Knowledge of security and testing is advantageous.
