Base Salary
$144k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver complete solutions across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operations.
- Advise immediate management on project-level issues and make technical decisions with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Guide junior engineers and apply internal conventions and technical best practices.
- Analyze requirements and transform them into scalable software designs.
- Design and build web services and microservices, including RESTful services.
- Implement reliable, available, scalable, and performant software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug software while applying strong analytical skills.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL database solutions and evaluate their respective tradeoffs.
- Leverage AI/GenAI tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, and documentation productivity.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, design patterns, and multithreaded programming.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and the ability to create scalable software designs from requirements.
- Commercial experience with HTTP, REST APIs, web services, and microservices.
- Hands-on expertise with Java, including Core Java, J2EE, and Spring.
- Experience building RESTful services.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL solutions and understanding of relational and free-form database tradeoffs.
- Knowledge or interest in large-scale distributed stream processing and real-time computation systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to follow coding and design best practices.
- Hands-on experience using AI/GenAI tools to improve software engineering productivity is preferred.
