Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build data lakes and pipelines that combine experimental, fabrication, and metrology data into a queryable platform.
- Develop AI-native workflows that automate experiment analysis, recommendations, and next-step proposals.
- Build LLM-powered tools and autonomous agents for natural-language querying, visualization, and reasoning over research data.
- Partner with research scientists, process engineers, and hardware teams to translate research needs into software.
- Implement ML-driven systems for defect detection, yield prediction, and process optimization using live fabrication data.
- Build recommendation engines that evaluate design-of-experiment tradeoffs and provide actionable suggestions.
- Own system reliability, scalability, monitoring, alerting, operational health, and on-call support.
- Contribute to technical direction through design documents, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scalability.
- At least 3 years of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 4+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: knowledge of machine learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
- Preferred: experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.
- Preferred: research and investigation skills or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience in semiconductor fabrication, foundry operations, or cleanroom environments.
