Base Salary
$600k - $1066k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical vision and roadmap for candidate generation and emerging applications.
- Lead partnerships with Merchandising, Product, Engineering, and Data Science & Engineering to align ML capabilities with business priorities.
- Design, build, and ship production ML systems that scale across Netflix’s ecosystem.
- Integrate foundation-model capabilities with the AIMS AI Foundations team for member-facing use cases.
- Design and run offline experiments and A/B tests to evaluate business impact.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to code reviews, and strengthen engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of industry experience applying machine learning and delivering impactful production systems.
- Experience leading successful partnerships with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Master’s or PhD in a computational field such as physics, computer science, statistics, or mathematics.
- Deep expertise in ML algorithms and frameworks, including hands-on experience training, tuning, and deploying production models.
- Experience with personalization, recommendation, or search algorithms.
- Experience with GenAI, LLMs, or multimodal AI in production systems.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python and experience with Scala or Java.
- Ability to scope problems pragmatically while maintaining rigorous engineering standards.

- Annual salary and stock option compensation structure with no bonuses; the stated salary range is $600,000.00–$1,066,000.00.
