Responsibilities
- Develop scheduling capabilities for orbital maneuver planning and ground-system contact strategies.
- Iterate on scheduling features based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business requirements.
- Build and refine observability dashboards and alerts.
- Support live operations of constellation scheduling software.
- Improve the team’s development environment and processes.
- Investigate and mitigate issues in production systems.
Requirements
- Strong mathematics or mathematical modeling systems skills.
- Proven ability to write robust software applications.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment while delivering against evolving requirements.
- Understanding of software practices including version control, testing, debugging, and build systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar discipline.
- Preferred experience includes Rust or other compiled languages, combinatorial optimization or mixed integer programming, orbital mechanics, maneuver planning, and the space industry.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
