Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Java and Spring backend services and React/TypeScript applications with end-to-end ownership.
- Design and implement secure REST and agent-to-agent protocol integrations.
- Ensure software quality through unit testing, manual validation, and test automation.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, architecture discussions, and delivery decisions.
- Collaborate with DevOps on deployment automation, observability, and portfolio security.
- Use AI-assisted tooling and Nasdaq's GenAI Platform to improve the development process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven years of full-stack software engineering experience with production-level Java expertise, object-oriented design, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Experience building component-based web applications, with React and TypeScript strongly valued.
- Solid SQL skills, including CRUD operations, schema design, and database-backed services, plus strong data structures and algorithms knowledge.
- Proficiency with Git workflows, Linux command-line usage, and containerization using Docker or Podman.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted tools in a real development workflow.
- Preferred experience includes LLM or agent development, function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, agent-tool protocols, Terraform or OpenTofu, Python or another scripting language, Kubernetes, and fintech, capital markets, or regulated-industry experience.
