Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the architecture, development, maintenance, and performance of GEO satellite control software.
  • Analyze change requests and anomalies, define technical specifications, and coordinate implementation.
  • Support software validation, system integration, deployment, release coordination, and operational maintenance.
  • Collaborate with satellite operations, system and network engineers, software providers, contractors, and internal support teams.
  • Provide technical support to satellite operations teams and end users and support satellite launch and in-orbit validation phases.
  • Maintain configuration management and documentation while supporting ISO 9001 quality and ISO 27001 security compliance.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to ensure operational continuity.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electronics.
  • Proven software engineering experience with complex or mission-critical systems; satellite control experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed and operational software architecture, software development lifecycle and maintenance methodologies, and system integration.
  • Experience with C, Python, Java, Linux, scripting, Ansible, Nexus, Docker Swarm, VMware, MariaDB, MongoDB, InfluxDB, ClickHouse, mTLS, REST APIs, and cloud or storage technologies.
  • Understanding of software project management principles and operational environments.
  • Basic knowledge of satellite communications or similar domains is preferred.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; French and Spanish are a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the European Union is mandatory.
