Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain production-quality code across services, APIs, workflow engines, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Lead feature and workstream delivery from design through deployment and production support.
  • Design and evolve scalable microservices, APIs, integrations, and event-driven workflows.
  • Design and implement agentic AI workflows using LLMs, retrieval patterns, structured outputs, tool/function calling, orchestration, memory, permissions, and workflow state.
  • Integrate AI workflows with enterprise data sources, business applications, APIs, queues, and operational systems.
  • Apply grounding, validation, guardrails, prompt and version management, evaluation, monitoring, observability, and feedback loops to production AI systems.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and make tradeoffs involving reliability, scalability, security, cost, maintainability, and delivery speed.
  • Lead technical execution, serve as an escalation point, and create reusable engineering patterns and guidance.
  • Use AI-powered development tools to support coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation while maintaining review and security standards.
  • Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, design discussions, implementation planning, and technical coaching.
  • Build and maintain SaaS applications, RESTful APIs, containerized applications, and cloud deployments.
  • Partner with DevOps/SRE and participate in design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven experience leading delivery of complex features, services, or technical workstreams.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
  • Experience applying AI-assisted development tools in real engineering workflows.
  • Hands-on exposure to LLM-enabled applications, agentic workflows, automation systems, or AI-integrated product capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and improve team execution through technical leadership.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core and modern .NET development.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design, distributed systems, production service development, microservices, integration services, and event-driven workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI workflow orchestration, agentic AI patterns, tool/function calling, context management, structured outputs, and workflow state.
  • Experience integrating AI-enabled systems with databases, APIs, queues, and enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL, plus working knowledge of NoSQL data stores, caching, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Docker, containerized application development, Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms, and cloud deployment practices.
  • Comfort working in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
  • Proficiency with Git, pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies, and modern CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing, observability, secure coding, and production support practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Python, Java, TypeScript, message queues, event streaming, workflow orchestration platforms, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs, semantic search, AI evaluation harnesses, prompt/version management, safety checks, governance workflows, React, Angular, Vue, high-throughput or operationally critical SaaS systems, and Agile/Scrum environments.
