Responsibilities
- Write, deploy, operate, and maintain production-quality software across services, APIs, workflow engines, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Lead delivery of complex features and technical workstreams from design through deployment and production support.
- Design and evolve scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, integrations, event-driven workflows, and containerized applications.
- Build agentic AI workflows using LLMs, retrieval, structured outputs, tool/function calling, orchestration, context management, memory, permissions, and workflow state.
- Integrate AI workflows with enterprise data sources, databases, business applications, APIs, queues, and operational systems.
- Apply grounding, validation, guardrails, prompt and version management, evaluation, observability, monitoring, and feedback loops to improve AI reliability.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and make tradeoffs involving reliability, scalability, security, cost, maintainability, and delivery speed.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, design discussions, implementation planning, and technical guidance.
- Create reusable AI-assisted development patterns, prompts, workflows, coding practices, and automation that improve developer productivity safely.
- Partner with product, security, architecture, DevOps, SRE, and operations teams on production readiness, compliance, supportability, CI/CD, and deployments.
- Modernize legacy components incrementally and participate in the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience leading delivery of complex features, services, or technical workstreams and mentoring engineers.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core and modern .NET development.
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, distributed systems, microservices, integration services, and event-driven workflows.
- Hands-on experience with LLM-enabled applications, AI workflow orchestration, agentic AI patterns, tool/function calling, context management, structured outputs, and workflow state.
- Experience integrating AI-enabled systems with databases, APIs, queues, and enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL, plus working knowledge of NoSQL data stores, caching, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Docker, containerized application development, Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms, and cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
- Proficiency with Git, pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies, and modern CI/CD workflows.
- Understanding of automated testing, observability, secure coding, and production support practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with Python, Java, TypeScript, message queues, event streaming, workflow orchestration platforms, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs, semantic search, AI evaluation harnesses, prompt/version management, safety checks, governance workflows, and high-throughput or operationally critical SaaS systems.
- Preferred background in Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional delivery.
