Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions, identify gaps in the telematics data platform, set technical direction, and influence the roadmap.
- Collaborate across engineering teams on system design, dependencies, and downstream product implications.
- Build and ship customer-facing full-stack features across frontend, backend, and mobile tiers.
- Maintain owned production systems and provide operational support.
- Shape core architecture, roadmap, and the wider engineering community.
- Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing engineering team.
- Use AI tools extensively for design, implementation, testing, investigations, and engineering workflow improvement.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including hands-on work building and operating complex enterprise systems.
- Experience translating partially defined customer or business challenges into technical direction, execution plans, and measurable outcomes with substantial autonomy.
- Strong system design judgment covering service boundaries, dependencies, failure modes, performance, and safe production changes.
- Experience owning a critical system or coordinating delivery across multiple services and teams while balancing immediate needs with long-term architecture.
- Ability to improve engineers’ effectiveness through mentoring, design reviews, and clear technical decisions.
- Extensive use of AI in engineering, including complex investigations and design exploration, with the ability to validate results and help teammates adopt effective workflows.
- Preferred experience includes customer-facing web and mobile workflow applications, reporting and data systems, enterprise administration, developer and agent platforms, billing and monetization, or full-stack product development.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
