Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate customer-focused products and services.
- Break down complex and ambiguous problems into well-defined components.
- Design and develop scalable, reliable services with distributed-systems scope varying by team.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback while validating correctness.
- Write clear technical documentation and maintain clean, maintainable code.
- Use GenAI and AI-powered development tools, critically validating AI-generated code.
- Work in an agile environment using CI/CD principles and participate in on-call operational responsibilities.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification, or experience in software development.
- Professional software development experience excluding internships.
- Experience programming in at least one general-purpose language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools in academic or professional settings.
- Knowledge of data structures, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles.
- Currently hold or be pursuing a bachelor's degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, data science, information systems, or a related STEM field.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud-platform experience, preferably AWS; SQL and NoSQL database experience; open-source contributions; version control; and debugging complex systems.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly, demonstrate ownership and initiative, understand the software development lifecycle, solve problems analytically, and communicate effectively.
