Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical teams, product partners, and stakeholders to deliver customer-facing capabilities and internal enablement.
- Design, develop, maintain, review, and debug secure production Java services, APIs, and supporting components.
- Build and integrate services for API discovery, documentation delivery, onboarding flows, entitlements, analytics, and developer self-service.
- Contribute to product design, API design, application functionality, technical operations, and resilient service architecture.
- Implement secure coding, secrets handling, authentication and authorization, and data protection practices.
- Develop automated unit and integration testing and promote modern engineering practices.
- Support downstream integrations, troubleshooting, monitoring, on-call readiness, and post-incident reviews.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating generated outputs.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with modern Java, concurrency fundamentals, and performance-aware coding.
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot, including dependency injection, configuration, and REST services.
- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, schema and versioning practices, and contract-first or OpenAPI-driven development.
- Hands-on experience with secure coding, safe data handling, relational databases, SQL, and automated unit and integration testing using tools such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience troubleshooting downstream service integrations and designing for resiliency through timeouts, retries, and circuit breakers.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, production support practices, monitoring, and on-call readiness.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, and engineering security and resiliency expectations.
- Preferred experience with AWS services, microservices, event-driven patterns, domain-driven design, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, observability, OpenTelemetry, caching technologies such as Redis, and AI capability integration.
