Responsibilities
- Research, develop, prototype, evaluate, and enhance image-processing, signal-processing, geometry, high-performance-computing, and machine-learning algorithms for defect inspection and critical-dimension metrology.
- Design, implement, integrate, debug, maintain, and unit-test product software using C++ on Linux.
- Perform big-data analysis, data mining, and software architecture design.
- Collaborate with global teams to identify and solve product and customer problems and validate solutions.
- Follow software development processes and write design and development documentation in English.
- Travel internationally for short-term customer support and training.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field is preferred; the minimum qualifications also accept a bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
- Solid background in at least one of image processing, signal processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, computational geometry, data analysis, high-performance computing, or machine learning.
- Experience with C, C++, and Python programming.
- Strong algorithm design, software development, debugging, mathematical, and logical reasoning skills.
- Ability to independently identify, analyze, and solve complex problems.
- Fluent English and strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to travel globally.
- Knowledge of optics or semiconductor processes is a plus.
