Base Salary
$148k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the roadmap and architecture based on technology and business needs
- Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code
- Explain technical tradeoffs in engineering decisions
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge
- Build features from technical specification through execution
- Proactively participate in resolving ongoing incidents
- Unblock, support, communicate, and obtain buy-in across teams
- Share knowledge through brown bags and technical talks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least five years of software engineering industry experience
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming
- Experience designing, debugging, and operating fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure
- Experience with common CI tools including Jenkins, Buildkite, CircleCI, or TeamCity, with proficiency in at least one
- Knowledge of distributed systems and relational and NoSQL databases
- Ability to communicate in English in writing, meetings, and presentations
