Base Salary

$148k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the roadmap and architecture based on technology and business needs
  • Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code
  • Explain technical tradeoffs in engineering decisions
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge
  • Build features from technical specification through execution
  • Proactively participate in resolving ongoing incidents
  • Unblock, support, communicate, and obtain buy-in across teams
  • Share knowledge through brown bags and technical talks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least five years of software engineering industry experience
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming
  • Experience designing, debugging, and operating fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with common CI tools including Jenkins, Buildkite, CircleCI, or TeamCity, with proficiency in at least one
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and relational and NoSQL databases
  • Ability to communicate in English in writing, meetings, and presentations
