Responsibilities
- Drive quality and compliance throughout the software development process.
- Create project Quality Assurance Plans covering gate reviews, audited work products, assessed processes, quality goals, KPIs, and metrics.
- Perform and approve Aptiv Product Development Process gate reviews with project teams and leadership.
- Conduct process assessments, work product audits, and Automotive SPICE capability assessments.
- Document and track non-conformances through closure and ensure findings are resolved before delivery.
- Approve or stop software deliveries based on quality requirements.
- Coordinate quality assurance activities with project plans and report activities to SQA management.
- Escalate project quality problems and interface with customers on systems, software, testing, verification, audit planning, and action tracking.
- Ensure software-related field issues follow the required Problem Solving Process.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level engineering degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation.
- 5–8 years of experience, including 4–6 years working on engineering development teams as a Systems Engineer or Software Engineer.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Advanced written and verbal English proficiency.
- Experience with configuration management and project management tools.
- Familiarity with development process capability maturity models including Automotive SPICE and CMMI.
- Preferably Intacs-certified as an ASPICE Provisional Assessor.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Automotive SPICE, ISO 15504, and Functional Safety ISO 26262 is desirable.
- Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma knowledge is desirable.
