Base Salary
$94k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy reusable UX solutions, internal applications, UI templates, and component libraries.
- Engineer and scale enterprise design systems, UI components, design tokens, and design-to-code workflows.
- Develop self-service applications for heuristic evaluations, UX quality assessments, and Section 508 accessibility checks.
- Create UX playbooks and provide strategic guidance, consulting, and hands-on technical solutions to program teams.
- Establish AI-assisted UI/UX workflows, documentation, and education for project and program teams.
- Diagnose and resolve UI/UX, front-end, and accessibility challenges while transferring successful patterns across programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience blending front-end UI engineering with UX design strategy or design-system enablement.
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma architectures, including auto-layout, components, styles, and variables.
- Understanding of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards and user-centered design practices.
- Experience using generative AI to accelerate development workflows and ability to teach others to use AI tools for design output.
- Exceptional presentation, collaboration, product discovery, UX advocacy, and stakeholder guidance skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating UX engineering skills is desired.
- Back-end experience with Node.js or Python, UX Center of Excellence experience, government or defense project experience, and ability to obtain government clearances are desired.
