Responsibilities
- Develop QA test plans and define acceptance criteria for built and purchased software solutions.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead QA activities to ensure effective and timely testing.
- Coach product teams, testers, and developers on QA frameworks, testing methodologies, automation, and quality-first practices.
- Drive test data creation, mocking, automated regression testing, and test automation as preferred approaches.
- Improve requirements quality, decoupled architectures, interface-level testing, and quality integration throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering and platform leaders and support Engineering Managers in quality discussions with consultancy partners.
- Provide subject matter expertise in performance testing, penetration testing, and high-availability assurance.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with QA processes, testing methodologies, and QA tooling.
- Extensive software development knowledge and familiarity with agile and DevOps practices and tooling.
- Experience building and maintaining modern web test automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Experience designing custom test automation frameworks in JavaScript or TypeScript with deep CI/CD integration via GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of digital product development principles including aligned autonomy, Conway’s Law, product decomposition, automation, blue-green deployments, and automated regression testing.
- Strong coaching, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with Sentry, Splunk, monitoring, real-time error tracking, procurement and quality assurance of SaaS solutions, non-functional requirements, and performance testing.
