Responsibilities
- Communicate with stakeholders and customers to gather and understand requirements.
- Define and architect software foundations for simulation control, instructor operating, and flight training debriefing stations.
- Design intuitive user interfaces using a custom GUI framework based on Qt/QML.
- Define and maintain software architecture, code organization, system interfaces, and overall software structure.
- Design, develop, test, maintain, debug, and fix software using clean and maintainable code.
- Participate in planning, stand-up, review, and retrospective meetings.
- Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards.
- Ensure the software architecture is scalable, maintainable, and integrable with other systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in software development focused on frontend/UI applications.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and the Qt/QML technology stack.
- Good communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with modern DevOps pipelines and containerization.
- Passion for simulation and a proactive, pragmatic mindset.
