Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and automate components of large-scale distributed cloud systems.
- Build tools, automation, and workflows to improve availability, scalability, latency, and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to deploy high-quality software.
- Monitor production and development environments and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Participate in incident response, debugging, and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver consistent and reliable solutions.
- Document designs, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides clearly and effectively.
- Contribute to improvements in reliability metrics such as availability, MTTD, and MTTR.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps Engineering, or production operations.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting systems and debugging production issues.
- 3+ years of supporting public cloud (OpenStack, AWS, or GCP), with data center experience preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and automation using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages.
- Working knowledge of databases, networking, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, infrastructure, and cloud services.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
