Base Salary

$117k - $147k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on database migration projects across MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
  • Analyze customers’ existing infrastructure to design robust migration strategies.
  • Collaborate on migrations involving Kafka and OpenSearch technologies.
  • Implement tailored migration architectures ensuring high performance and minimal downtime.
  • Build detailed infrastructure diagrams and explain architectural decisions to diverse audiences.
  • Conduct technical workshops and demonstrations on Kubernetes migration processes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to help customers navigate technical complexities.
  • Prepare and document Database best practices for customer use.
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve technical escalations.
  • Advocate for customer feedback to inform new Database-related features.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and database migration projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex database migrations across various technologies.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Linux and distributed systems.
  • In-depth understanding of database architecture and performance tuning.
  • Prior experience in a pre-sales or technical consulting role.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to automate database migrations using programming and scripting languages.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Software engineering experience of 7 years or more.
