Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions that improve Neuron compiler performance, stability, and user experience.
- Create compiler optimization and verification passes and expose AWS accelerator features to developers.
- Build tools for analyzing numerical errors and resolve the root causes of compiler defects.
- Transform and optimize machine learning models for deployment on AWS Inferentia and Trainium servers.
- Collaborate with chip architects, runtime and operating-system engineers, scientists, ML application teams, customers, and open-source communities.
- Participate in pre-silicon design, design discussions, code reviews, feature launches, and technical communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred experience writing production-grade code in C++ or Java.
- Preferred experience with compiler design for CPU, GPU, vector engines, or ML accelerators.
- Preferred experience with open-source compiler toolsets such as LLVM and MLIR.
- Preferred experience with PyTorch, OpenXLA, StableHLO, JAX, TVM, deep learning models, and algorithms.
- Preferred experience with modern build systems such as Bazel or CMake.
- A master's degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field is preferred.
