Base Salary
$184k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-level software components including kernel systems, synchronization primitives, resource allocators, memory management, security, I/O, and persistence.
- Develop efficient drivers and services for constrained environments with low-latency and high-bandwidth data delivery.
- Lead hardware bring-up, peripheral drivers and communication, silicon integration, and power and performance optimization.
- Debug complex system-level issues spanning kernel through application layers and drive performance optimizations.
- Integrate software from multiple partner teams into a unified product codebase and guide its continued development.
- Analyze, design, develop, and debug firmware for sensing, imaging, haptic, and audio devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of software development experience in industry settings, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience.
- 3+ years of embedded software development experience in industry settings.
- Experience working in a large-scale C/C++ codebase.
- Experience defining and driving technical workstreams and providing technical leadership for software engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience with the full silicon development lifecycle, consumer electronics embedded software, hardware/firmware co-development, responsible AI practices, AI workflow optimization, prompt/context engineering, or agent orchestration.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $184,000/year to $257,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
