Base Salary
$147k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded C software architectures for bare-metal and RTOS-based environments.
- Analyze stack and heap usage and optimize firmware for execution speed and power efficiency.
- Apply MISRA C and CERT C standards through static analysis and manual code reviews.
- Debug firmware and software-to-PCB interactions using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
- Translate system requirements into software-level requirements and author system requirements and software design documents.
- Develop control algorithms in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow and integrate auto-generated C code into manually written codebases.
- Lead integration testing and develop unit and integration test suites for hardware-in-the-loop environments.
- Perform model-in-the-loop regression testing and structural coverage analysis.
- Use GitHub for version control and Jira for sprint, task, defect, requirements, and test-case tracking.
- Travel domestically up to 10%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
- Five years of experience with model-based design across the full software development lifecycle.
- Five years of experience deriving software requirements and architectural logic from system specifications using Jama and Jira.
- Five years of experience implementing control algorithms with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
- Five years of experience creating unit tests and performing structural coverage analysis within Simulink Test.
- Five years of experience integrating software components and conducting model-in-the-loop regression testing.
- Five years of experience using GitHub for software deliverable version control and lifecycle management.
- Five years of experience analyzing system-level requirements and defining subsystem specifications.
- Five years of experience managing requirements in Jama with documentation and bidirectional traceability.
- Three years of experience authoring and executing unit test suites in Simulink Test.
- Three years of experience using Simulink Coverage for decision, condition, and MC/DC analysis.
- Three years of experience using Jira to manage tasks, requirements, and test-case execution.
