Responsibilities
- Lead the technical architecture and development of core robotics software.
- Design scalable software frameworks for high-performance robotic applications.
- Drive motion planning and trajectory generation for complex robotic tasks.
- Develop advanced algorithms for kinematics, collision checking, and optimization.
- Build and optimize real-time control systems to improve robot accuracy.
- Extend autonomy stack for mobile robotic platforms with localization and navigation.
- Lead development of hardware abstraction layers and real-time communication.
- Evaluate and integrate modern AI techniques to enhance robotics capabilities.
- Mentor software engineers and establish engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in developing robotics software with expertise in modern C++.
- Demonstrated experience in architecting large-scale robotics software systems.
- Deep expertise in motion planning, manipulation, controls, or related areas.
- Strong understanding of real-time robotics and performance optimization.
- Experience designing software that interfaces with robotic hardware.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction and mentor engineers.
- Strong Linux development experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
