Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and sustain embedded firmware for professional tools, including BLDC motor control and BLE connectivity.
  • Lead system architecture and requirements development, concept feasibility assessments, and technical risk evaluations.
  • Drive adoption of Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and automated code review frameworks for firmware development and code quality.
  • Define software quality standards and best practices, improve processes, and guide a global development team toward consistent delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineers through hands-on problem solving and debugging.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools.
  • Support field investigations and manufacturing and supply-chain issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Communicate significant issues, risks, and developments in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with firmware development.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship will not be provided.
  • Preferred: experience implementing AI-driven solutions for system diagnostics or embedded software performance optimization.
  • Preferred: knowledge of embedded systems design, including drivers, RTOS, and ISRs, plus C/C++ and Python.
  • Preferred: experience designing firmware architecture and modular code used across multiple products.
  • Preferred: experience with source control, integrated unit testing, and builds.
  • Preferred: ability to read schematics and perform basic hardware measurements and testing.
  • Preferred: knowledge of functional safety compliance standards.
  • Preferred: experience leading projects, estimating work, and supporting team members.
