Responsibilities
- Develop feature-rich native iOS, tvOS, and visionOS applications for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
- Own and deliver substantial features for ABC News products used by millions of people.
- Write clear, well-tested, performant code and create sustainable, well-architected solutions.
- Integrate applications with backend systems, web services, and third-party software.
- Manage production issues and solve novel technical problems.
- Guide an agile team through the full application development lifecycle and serve as the key contact for entire features.
- Mentor associate, mid-level, and senior team members through code review, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities to improve team processes and develop new collaboration systems.
- Present thoughtful, implementable solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of Swift, Apple frameworks, and the Xcode ecosystem.
- Experience leading a team, delegating responsibilities, and balancing competing priorities.
- Experience integrating with backend systems, web services, and third-party software.
- Strong standards for codebase and application quality.
- Experience mentoring others and willingness to learn, give feedback, and receive feedback.
- Experience presenting technical solutions to varied stakeholders.
- Experience with AVPlayer and video playback is strongly preferred.
