Base Salary
$100k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
- Build embedded systems and application software for embedded processors.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers to design system-level software solutions and address performance requirements and interfaces.
- Develop and debug software involving processor architecture, memory, board support, and peripheral control.
- Develop software for GNSS receivers and location-based systems using 3GPP location and data protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related work experience, or a related master’s degree plus 1+ year of experience, or a related PhD.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of embedded software development experience.
- Preferred: proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with Python and shell.
- Preferred: experience with embedded development and debugging tools, FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux, Android, automotive-grade Linux and Android, GNSS receivers, location-based systems, and 3GPP protocols.
- Preferred: practical experience using AI code-assist tools such as Claude or Copilot in resource-constrained embedded software environments.
- Preferred: experience developing firmware, DSP software, and software for embedded processors.
