Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable features for MongoDB’s Internal Developer Portal using Backstage.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to enhance developer workflows.
- Write clean and maintainable code based on architectural guidance.
- Contribute to the design of scalable systems and API integrations.
- Participate in live coding assessments and system design evaluations during the interview process.
- Onboard new engineers and serve as a technical resource for peers.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on fullstack development.
- Experience building modern web applications using MongoDB, Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks like Cypress, Jest, or Playwright.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong communication skills to partner with various engineering teams.
- Comfortable writing and reviewing technical design documents.
