Base Salary

$213k - $263k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and productionize data pipelines for high-quality ML and evaluation datasets.
  • Streamline dataset curation, sampling, and slicing for training and testing Waymo Driver software.
  • Design and implement tools and infrastructure for data mining, exploration, and analysis of large-scale datasets.
  • Architect, build, and maintain data platforms processing Waymo driving logs and simulation data.
  • Ensure dataset generation is fresh, accurate, and complete.
  • Own complex projects and translate ambiguous requirements into high-impact deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Quantitative Analytics teams to identify data needs and engineer infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems that ingest, store, transform, and output data at scale.
  • Production proficiency in C++ or Python.
  • Strong technical communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with A/B experiment infrastructure is preferred.
  • Experience with ad-hoc data analysis using SQL is preferred.
  • Prior autonomous-vehicle industry experience is preferred.
