Base Salary
$213k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and productionize data pipelines for high-quality ML and evaluation datasets.
- Streamline dataset curation, sampling, and slicing for training and testing Waymo Driver software.
- Design and implement tools and infrastructure for data mining, exploration, and analysis of large-scale datasets.
- Architect, build, and maintain data platforms processing Waymo driving logs and simulation data.
- Ensure dataset generation is fresh, accurate, and complete.
- Own complex projects and translate ambiguous requirements into high-impact deliverables.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Quantitative Analytics teams to identify data needs and engineer infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems that ingest, store, transform, and output data at scale.
- Production proficiency in C++ or Python.
- Strong technical communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with A/B experiment infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience with ad-hoc data analysis using SQL is preferred.
- Prior autonomous-vehicle industry experience is preferred.
