Responsibilities
- Own the discovery and delivery of innovative IT solutions across a dedicated business domain.
- Design cloud architecture using Azure, event streaming with Confluent Kafka, and integration with SAP.
- Translate business requirements into architectural specifications and scalable technical solutions.
- Define, establish, document, and govern enterprise-wide architecture standards, integration patterns, and best practices.
- Lead architecture-as-code modeling with C4 and Structurizr and maintain target architectures in modeling tools.
- Support implementation throughout the development lifecycle and lead hands-on proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Mentor architects and developers and align technical decisions with business and strategic company goals.
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on experience in software development and enterprise software architecture.
- A solid technical background and relevant qualification.
- Expertise in structured requirements engineering and architecture-as-code modeling using tools such as C4, Structurizr, PlantUML, or Mermaid.
- Proven proficiency in synchronous, event-driven, and API-led integration architectures.
- Knowledge of interface specifications including OpenAPI and Avro.
- Experience designing complex, traceable, and maintainable cross-system processes integrating enterprise solutions such as SAP.
- Ability to evaluate solution options and make fact-based architectural and make-versus-buy decisions.
- Interest in using AI tools and exploring modern technologies.
- Excellent English communication skills; German is ideally an additional language.
